Marcel Bach started to play the drums at the age of seven in the year 1981. Since 1988, he has been playing in a large number of bands of different styles, which is reflected in the many influences that characterises his way of playing. His expertise includes solodrumming, jazz-rock, indie-rock as well as progressive rock and metal. Since 2004 Marcel works as a drum teacher at the “Westfälische Schule für Musik” Münster. At drumfestivals and music fairs he appeared in the same lineup together with Carmine Appice, Carl Palmer, Will Calhoun, Mark Schulman, Benny Greb, George Kollias, The Drumbassadors, Mike Terrana, Dom Famularo, Martin Verdonk, Pete Lockett and many more. His solo records, solo live performances and drumbook release received very positive reviews.
2008 Marcel has won the 26th German Rock- and Pop Prize in the category “best drummer” and 2009 the 27th German Rock- and Pop Prize in the category “best Fusion-Jazz-Rock band” with his band Electric Noise Project.
